Mallard Fillmore 7/19/00

Saw a GREAT cartoon in the Indianapolis Star yesterday -- Mallard Fillmore. First panel shows Mallard saying, "Here's what I'd like to see on 'Survivor." Next panel is text, saying "Put all the gun-control nuts on an island, where only the criminals are allowed to have guns." The next panel says, "Manhattan Island." The final panel is a cartoon picture of Rosie yelling, "Where's my bodyguard?"

Thought it was Great!

This isn't the first time Mallard Fillmore has featured a pro-gun theme. Maybe that's why it's one of the few cartoon strips I read regularly. Our local paper runs that and Doonesbury during the week, but only runs Doonesbury in the Sunday edition.

Saw that cartoon as well. Laughed my a** off!! He's had a few like that, especially in recent months. Wish I had started collecting them.

Why start collecting them, when Tinsley has already collected them for you? Do a search on "Mallard Filmore" at amazon.

Recently the left-wing newspaper in my left-wing town began to run Mallard Fillmore. It's excellent and I have to give the paper credit.

But I wonder how long this cartoon strip will last here. The lefties in their arrogance do not easily or graciously tolerate opposing viewpoints, not to mention having their sacred cows barbecued in effigy.

Anyway, I'll enjoy it while I can.
