Would East German mags work in a Bulgarian Makarov? The listing described them as "no hump"?

Yes. All the single stack makarov mags will work, no matter what the country of origin.

EG mags have a minor difference from others. Hard to describe, obvious if you have the two to compare. And makes no difference with function.

And .380 works in all of them, too, if you need to feed a .380 Mak.

Yes, they should as long as they are the single stack configuration. The Double stack Makarov will also accept single stack mags as well.

I've got both types of mags and neither me nor my Maks can tell the difference when shooting with them.
