say one was to find a particular firearm that is completely legal to have in the US (no machine guns), floating around in a 3rd world country that you can trade for a pig....is there any legal way one could ship it back to the US? let me make this perfectly clear: this firearm is nothing special, lets call it a winchester 1894 30-30.

There are companies that do offer import services. This is complicated and can be expensive.

Best option is to talk to one about the details of your particular case.
Also note that some types of guns other than full-auto are not importable for various reasons, and imports from some countries are prohibited.

Cherry's offer import services:

Not only does it need to go through a legal importer, it's quite likely you will need to go through a legal exporter as well. Make sure the seller either already has the current licenses and permits to export, or plan on spending money and time getting them yourself.

I live in a 3rd world country. i know some folks that can get ahold of some...for a lack of a better word black market (cant legally buy a gun here unless you apply for a permit) M1A's for DIRT CHEEP. and i would love to get ahold of one and send her home :D what else do you wanna know?
