Mail order ammo

No FFL is required. Some sellers ask for an adult signature before delivery will be made. Ask your seller what their practice is. I buy ammo off the internet and some companies just instruct UPS to leave it on the doorstep if no one is home.

All the mail order ammo suppliers I have delt with require an adult signiture. I simply have these shipments go to a friend's business which also gets me a cheaper UPS rate. I have had excellent service from these suppliers and have a much larger selection of manuf's, etc. to choose from. My favorate is Fiocchi. It is much hotter than the typical American stuff. For example, 9mm regular is ~950 fps whereas the Fiocchi is ~1200 - 1250 fps. Seller and Beloit is about the same in punch.

I have used a number of "mail order" -- really Internet order -- ammunition companies, including: Natchez, Midway, JG Sales, Cheaper-than-Dirt, and Ammoman. All have been at least satisfactory. However, Ammoman (www.ammoman.com) has been really terrific.

Their prices excellent, they offer a wide variety of rounds produced by top manufactures (no reloads), shipping is free, and customer service has been absolutely superb. I frequently receive an order two days after I submit it via the Internet.

I have no commercial connection with Ammoman, but I strongly recommend them to fellow TFL members.

I ordered three boxes of 135 gr 9mm Hydra-Shocks from www.ammobank.com and received a call from them the next day they received my affidavit. We talked a little about efficacy of 115, 124, and 135 gr, and I decided to change my order and get two boxes of 135 gr and two boxes of 124.

In exactly 6 days, my shipment came with a hand written note on the invoice explaining that although I'd ordered two 20-round boxes of 124 gr, they decided to put a single 50-round box instead because it made it cheaper for me. Very nice service!
