Mags for my AR

Hey everybody, been a while since I checked in, I am receiving my DPMS Oracle ORC in about a week, just ordered my optics, a riser, and a bore scope from Amizon. came in a little over $200.00 The scope I got is a 3-9 by x42 with a red dot sight attachted to the top. I am now wondering, because My rifle is comeing with one 30 round mag, I would like to get some more. they don't have to be top of the line, but not crap either. I am bran new to the AR "scene" and have gotten great advice from many of you guys. I've heard about the Mag Pull system buy just don't know much about it. Also, I like cheaperthandirt but if there is any recommendations on ammo for the DPMS?

Magpuls are good mags.

Any USGI mag is a good mag as long as it feeds reliably.

The Troy Battlemags are turning out to be a winner as well.

Agreed that the MagPul mags are first class and can be found under $15 per mag. I have heard reports that in some ARs where the magwell is a bit tight, that the MagPuls don't drop cleanly. I have not personally seen this. The other mag I like is from C-Products. It also has an anti-tilt follower.

The P-Mag is very tight in a couple of my AR's but not too bad.

The P-mags also are not STANG M16 Interface compliant, so there have been some issues with some rifles with fit (FN-SCAR16).

My preferred mags have always been USGI M16 20-rd mags with the original aluminum followers.

thank you for all the input

and about the font size, I had no idea it would be that big on the post, it looks so small here!! "gunfighter" you have one of the best quotes about the .45! love it. I did allready order 3 extra mag-pul mags along with some ammo, a sling, optics, and something else, i can't remember. all from cheaper than dirt. I like that place, they have to charge alot for shipping when buying ammo, but, i've had great success with them.

Brownells sells good mags. I'd suggest at least a couple of 20 rounders for shooting from the bench and for real world carrying.
CDNN has C-Products and TherMold both of which are economical and work for me.

Pmags, Pmags, Pmags. I've been using them for about two years and have never had an issue with them. They're reasonably priced, too, so there's no excuse not to try one out.
