Magnum Research BFR .45-70

I shot one a few years ago. A friend brought it and his handloads with 300 grain bullets to the gravel pit one afternoon. We shot one round "from the hip" at a silhouette target about three feet away and then two or three rounds at another silhouette about 15 feet away. At those distances it was accurate. Recoil wasn't bad either, and the revolver seemed well made. I asked my buddy if he was going to hunt deer with it that fall, but he used something else instead.

I wish I had more to tell you, but I've never seen the gun again.

I had the "pleasure" :D of trying one out today at the range. The person next to me had one and let me put a cylinder of ammo though it. A lot of gun that handles the recoil really well. The recoil comes back much like my S&W 657 rather than snaping up like my 454 SRH. Not bad accuracy either.
