magazine's spring reliability

I wonder how long can I keep the my pistol's magazine loaded before replacing? Any recommendation? My sig's magazines are usually loaded 1 round less (2 rounds less for hi-cap) than the full capacity for less stress on the spring and better reliability for home defense.

LEO friend of mine rotates mags first of every month. Since you are downloading, I wouldn't be overly concerned. You are shooting those rounds every six months at least anyway, RIGHT? If you start having malfunctions or while cleaning notice the spring get shorter, replace it to be on the safe side.
