Magazines for Springfield 1911A1

I'm looking for a good source for 9mm mags for my S/A PX9130L.

The web-site shows 9-round 9mm mags for the COLT. Will these fit the Springfield? The mags are built by Mec-Gar (Italy). I have had good experience with Mec-Gar in my SIGs, but I have no experience with these mags in the 1911A1.

The cost is darn reasonable - only $12.95

Springfield Armory PX9130L

Pete,

You were deciding between the Sprinfield and the STI the other day. Looks like the Springfield won.

I too purchased a Springfield Armory PX9130L, but it hasn't arrived yet. About a half hour ago I sent Springfield an email asking if they will sell magazines directly for this gun. I'll let you know what they say.

Have you had yours to the range yet? Any first impressions?

Wilson-Rogers or Wilson Combat?

Erick,

When most folks talk about "Wilson" magazines, which are they referring to Wilson-Rogers or Wilson Combat?

For some reason I always thought they meant Wilson Combat.

Now with your post recommending Wilson-Rogers, I am confused.

Following is the note I received from Springfield in response to my question, if they would sell magazines directly to customers.

Thank you for ordering a new Springfield pistol!

If you are ordering a new Springfield pistol through your local dealer, there will be a "Loaded Essentials" coupon in the box with the pistol for reduced prices on accessories, including magazines.

You have 90 days from the date the pistol was purchased to complete the coupon and mail it to our office for redemption. The reduced price on the 9mm magazines using this coupon is $14.95 each.
