I saw a 30 round magazine,manufactured by Colt for an AR-15,for sale at a gun show that had the date 7-94 below a five digit number stamped on the left side of the mag.I have a couple questions about this.None of my mags at home,by any manufacturer have a date stamped on them.The AW/hi-cap ban took effect on 9-14-94,correct?Why would Colt date a mag prior to the ban?If my 9-94 date is correct,the mag should be legal to own.When I asked the person working the table about it he said all the mags he was selling were legal to own.I did`nt buy it because I felt like any mag with a date on it could lead to problems,legal to own or not.
