Magazine in back pocket

I know some people do this. Could this damage the magazine in any way? I'm thinking about carrying the extra mag for my Sig 938 there.

I've been keeping a spare in my back pocket for a while. It's in a little holster or Blackberry case. Nothing has happened.

By itself? I wouldn't do it. Easier to slip out.

I had a mag that worked perfectly, took a lunch break sitting on a bench, and the mag didn't work afterwards.
I've carried lots of mags in my hip pocket over the years, and only that one incident causes me to doubt that it's not going to be an issue, but that one incident means I'd never carry a "carry" mag in my hip pocket.

Just go to walmart and buy a blackhack spare magazine pouch, I have about 7 of these things for different guns and belts. Pockets are dust magnets.

Seriously^^^

The best was is to have them as an IWB on your off hand.

I have a dual mag holder from Bravo Concealment. Just isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. Going to have to buy myself a single mag holder IWB when the funds permit.

I'll carry a single stack mag in my front pocket. If I carry an xtra double stack, it goes on my belt. Don't usually carry spare mag for double stack guns though.

I've been looking for a good IWB or OWB single mag holder for some time (needs to fit a 1 3/4" belt). If anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it.

This what I'll probably end up doing. Of course, I've heard from some people that you want to carry your mags on strongside, which I never really agreed with. The reasoning had something to do with having a injured hand.

Of course. Your off side is always where the magazines go.

But put it in a place where you can get to with your strong side, just in case you ever are injured.

That way you reholster your weapon, grap the mag, stick it in the gun, draw the gun, and hopefully you have good sights to rack the slide off your belt, holster, boot, etc.

And what if you get wounded on the strong side?

Make sure it's in a place you can get to with either hand and practice one handed reloads with your off hand.

^ That's what I meant. lol I thought I typed it that way.. Oops.

Accessible with either side. That's how I'm setup. Then again... I'm long... Really long. :o

I recently had to fix a sat-on mag...
some time in a Vise resolved the issues...
but it never had to happen in the first place ;)

the top round in the 938 mags will work itself out when carried loosely in the back pocket. Dont be surprised to find a few rounds floating about....

FWIW the base pad on the 7 rounders clips on and off easily, removed it carries nicely in the front pocket.

I carry my spare mag in a Buck knife case on my belt.
Nobody has ever noticed.
My LCP mag goes in my watch pocket.

I usually just leave my spare mags in a dual pouch in the truck but I've been thinking I should start carrying at least 1 extra on me. I was trending towards the idea of carrying one in one of those wraparound pouches on my ankle. Not sure how comfortable that would be though.
