Mag laws in USA

What are the laws relating to mag capacity in the USA?? Can you have 30 shots in your AR15 or Mini 14/30. Up here we are limited to 5 max in rifles, and 10 in handguns Takes all the fun out of a AR15.

New magazines are limited to 10 rounds, unless you are a LEO. In most states you
can still purchase "pre-ban" (standard capacity) magazines, but the prices are getting ridiculous.

It also depends on the state. Some states have a total ban on uncrippled mags (for us lowly citizens) for rifle and pistol.

Basically our law now is that if you want it, you can't have it.
