Made my first trade today

I was showing my neighbor my new S & W SD9VE today and he said he wanted a semi-automatic pistol instead of his old but very nice Taurus 80 38 Special with Hoague grips. Since I no longer had a need for my Hi-Point C9, I offered to trade with him. He shot the Hi-Point and decided he would trade with me since it had a safety and the others don't. We traded and we are both pleased. The gun was imported before Taurus started and is a copy of the s & W Model 10. Since the old gun shoots and looks great, I think I will just keep it. I think the ammo is about double the price of 9 MM.
 
Sounds like a good trade. 38 special should only be a couple bucks more per box vs 9mm.
There's a wide variety 38 special ammo out there. I suggest getting a couple of different boxes and see what works the best.
