Ok so i thought that the squeak that i heard in the slide of my G22 Would go away after 3-4000 rounds well it hasnt and im at over 5500 rounds.

My first g22 had the squeel for about 2000rds and it went away but my second one still has the squeel,What do i do its really getting on my nerves,I know its the recoil spring but i dont know if buying an aftermarket spring and guide bar would help.

Thanks in advance.

Glocks're noisy pistols...

Recoil assembly goes "squeak".
Striker goes "spoink".

Long as trigger goes "bang", I wouldn't sweat it.

(I'm taking lessons in succinctness from C.R. Sam. :D )

I totally understand that glocks are noisy,I was mostly just hoping to find out why that this squeak is not gone after 5500rds,and i even switched my recoil spring from my old one to my new one and the noise was still there.

Im not just trying to find a reason to buy a part or anything as for i dont have enough money to spend on things like that.

Try using...

Calgon in your dishwasher the next time you clean her after a shoot; leaves no streaks, therefore no squeak:D

P.S. Are we going downhill again;)

Squeak?

The slide makes a barely audible scraping sound if you move it slowly and listen closely.

I've never noticed a squeak.

Maybe I shoulda kept that appointment with the ear doctor.

The next time you reassemble it after cleaning, leave the hampster out. :)

There, that should have gotten us to the bottom of that hill. :p

All of my Glocks sound like old screen doors when you rack the slide. They always will unless you get a round wire spring. Just part of their charm.

g22 is .40 short and weak

g22 goes squeak, squeak, squeak

G29 IS MADE FOR A MAN

G29 GOES BLAM, BLAM, BLAM

I can't help it! I'm mental!:o :p ;) :D
