Macho challenge to all!

Ok who else here has a 10ga 'combat' shotgun ? I have the 24" RS barrel for my BPS (which looks like a 20" on a 12ga) but my latest piece of Mayhem is a 20" AyA double (which looks SHORT) with ejectors and a GIANT Ivory Bead. I am really impressed what 18 00 buck does to a pepper popper at 25 yards! It moves my respect for buckshot back another 10 yards from even mag 12gauge. I also loaded some 54pellet #4 buck which throws a nice dense round two foot cloud at 25 yards. The gun fits me perfectly and comes up right on target. I would imagine I will try some skeet with 2oz of #9 ! The nine pound weight with 1100fps loads (from the chart) of Longshot seem less harsh than my 7 pound 870's with Buck. Yup this 10ga double has become my new HD shottie. I have complete confidence in it! I suggest to all when you find a useless(no good for steel shot) 32" Spanish double for a couple hundred or so, you pay a gunsmith $50 or so to cut her down nice and pretty and hang a big front sight on it. I don't want to be the only one who owns one!

I'm , too practical, a relic, sentimental and even chivalaristic enough to "provide covering fire while a lady reloads".TM Tamara.

I'm the guy with a basically a Stock -Blue and wood gun, shooting 2 3/4 " shells. I might be insane for shooting 16 practice rds in one day, shooting 1k rds a week...some weeks, or 25K rds a year of 12 ga alone in 2 3/4" sizes.

Perhaps insane enough to buy all the 25 rd boxes of Winchester/Western Buckshot and Slugs - about 25or so total and in 2wks all I had was hulls and empty shell boxes.

I need to spend more time learning the puny 12 ga with 2 3/4" shells...still ain't got the hang of 'em yet.

Well and to be honest -.there is cutie at a Mom&POp gas station I stop at .They carry some puny 2 3/4" shotshells...only 3" are they have are.410; NO 10 ga ammo. I don't really need shells sometimes, but I always seem to need gas, a soda, or junk food. I like the way she smiles, we flirt,we talk about bird hunting...I feel like buying puny shells from her. I'm a sucker for brunettes and hazel eyes. I guess that means I'm a true Southern boy...shooting puny shells.

I can deal with it tho'.
