No license to carry shall be issued pursuant to this section unless and until the applicant for the license or for the renewal of an existing license presents to the licensing authority a complete list of every handgun owned by the applicant along with a certificate of insurance verifying that the applicant has a valid insurance policy insuring against any harm or damage that might arise out of the use of each weapon on said list. The applicant shall swear under the penalties of perjury that said list is a complete list of all handguns owned by the applicant. The insurance policy shall be in an amount of at least $250,000 and shall list the specific weapons covered by the policy.

:barf: and believe me theres much much more..give it a read and write your rep and lets try to kill this abomination!!!!

Disgusting stuff...

Mandatory locks, mandatory $250,000 insurance policies, mandatory registration...

You have to make $150K a year to afford to have a CCW!!! Very similar in spirit to the 1934 tax act to make machine guns too expensive.

Then there's the committee consisting of police chiefs, attorneys and beaurocratic ilk that are getting to self-important.:barf:

Glad I live in AZ. Good luck in your fight!

They're at a loss over the criminals, so they want to go after law-abiding gun owners. It's stunning.

From GOAL:

We haven't sent the alarm up about this bill yet because it was already clear to us month's ago that it was going to come out of committee for purely political reasons. Although, we have to be watchful of everything on the Hill, I don't believe the legislature has the urge to pass things like this anymore. Also, we need to start focusing on the reform efforts rather than reacting to every insane bill that a minority of legislators move on.

Thanks for the watchful eyes, it is always good to know our members are out there paying close attention.

GOAL is doing good work, if you're a MA resident, or if you're in a good state and want to help us caught behind enemy lines, consider joining:
