M91/30 Archangel Stock?

I have been contemplating getting one of these, as there is one in my local gun store but I had some questions first. First off, do they affect performance of the rifle? Accuracy, Recoil, etc. Second, How much better us ut, if any , better than the wood stock? Finally, What are the pros and cons of each stock? (Wood and Archangel). Thanks for any help you can provide, as I've not so much as held one of these stocks before.
 
I have yet to shoot mine, planned to this weekend, but grandson came early. I put a true shot see-through scope mount on mine, so lost the ability to use stripper clips, so the magazine is a plus. For comfort the adjustments should help too.
 
I can say first hand that they are pretty cool, my co-worker chopped down a finnish b barrel before he knew what it was(idiot) and put it in an archangel. I shot it for a few hours about 3 weeks ago, its pretty sweet. the detachable mag is finicky, but work well after you get the first round chambered and definitely beats the stock mag. its a cool produt, very aesthetically appealing and comfortable to shoot. you don't have to do permanent changes unless you want to. fitting of course just requires a dremel and and taking your time to keep It tight as possible. buds had them for 149$ sipped a couple months ago, I will be doing one eventually. I recommend it and I think its a geat value to shave some weight and make a more comfortable hooter and have good option for mounting a scope. a good aftermarket mosin scope mount will cost you almost as much as the stock
 
I've shot my stock Mosin next to a friend's with the Archangel stock. Recoil and accuracy is not affected much so it will shoot about the same.

Pro's:
- Handles better
- Detachable mag
- More modern look

Con
- Price
- changing your Mosin from stock form (if that matters to you)
- possible fitment/modification needed
 
i personally like the boyds stocks better. i finally got one of the archangels and tried it. it actually Worsened my shooting and i just shrugged and took it off and returned it.

i personally like the wood look anyway, and as someone with another gun that has 10 round detachable magazine on a bolt rifle. its faster for loading a magazine thats already filled. otherwise if you have to load, id stick with the fixed mag anyway
