I have come across one of these in good shape. The 20x scope comes complete with front and rear lens covers, standard issue tripod, offset, one height extension, and original water-tight case.
Anyone have an idea of what a reasonable price would be?

TIA

I don't know what it's worth, but I think I'd go rummage around on the internet and see if I could find a few for sale. If you can find one or two, that'll give you at least an idea of value. If that doesn't work, then Plan B would be to value it like a good quality used equivalent spotting scope. Then make an offer and go from there.

You have a complete M49 Spotting Scope kit? The whole kit is worth several hundred dollars easily to someone looking for one.

My gut says that if everything is functional and in good condition 500 dollars is the bottom end of what I'd consider paying for the set. There has been a lot of interest in "Historic Sniper" setups lately, including several well known gunsmiths marketing M40 replicas complete with refurbed ART scopes.

The case is sized only for the scope itself. I suppose a full kit would include a bag of some kind for the other parts. I don't have a bag.
