M2 BALL ammo

I was at the Crossroads of the West gun show in Costa Mesa yesterday and was looking for practice ammo for my Garand. I ran across some ammo made by Talon that said "M2 Ball FMJ- mil-spec, unfired brass, made from recovered components, boxer primed." Is this stuff any good? They are selling it for $115 for 400 rounds.

Well, 30 cents a shot ain't the worst price I've ever seen.

The stuff is probably fine for practice ammo. "Mil Spec" most likely means it's safely below max, so their liability insurance won't be called upon. "Boxer primed" means it's reloadable brass...

Dunno nuthin' about the quality of uniformity as to powder charge or bullets. It ain't match ammo--but they don't claim that.

Try Southern Ohio Guns (SOG) They had 580 rounds of 1959 milsurp for $110 delivered. That brings it down to around .18 cents per round. I've already gone through one of the two cans without a hiccup.
