M1917 with lopped barrel and brand new Tyler grips.

Recently received my order from Tyler T grips. I put in for them about 4 months ago. Bronze looks stunning.

Looks great! Did you change out any of the internals? I see it's got a newer short action hammer.

Also, is "Marcas Registradas" common on M1917s? I always thought that was a post-wwII thing.

Nice gun but not a model 1917. It is a post WWII short action frame, most likely a 45 Hand Ejector Model of 1950.

I did something similar a few years ago, to a butchered Colt NS in .45LC.

Didn't care for Tyler grip adapters when I was younger. Just get a bigger grip. Now that I'm wiser, I'm all for them. Your "bulk" will be less with a Tyler and concealment better.
