M16 in 'OVER THERE' commercial preview

There had been some preview commercials for the new TV series, "Over There" that showed a quick close-up view of a soldier shooting an M16 rifle, where the rifle was pointed to the left and the ejection port was also on the left side rather than the right side where the ejection port normally is.
I know that some M16/AR15 rifles are built with the ejection port on the left side for left handed shooters, I'm just wondering if the rifle in the commercial was actually a left handed model, because I would think it would be rare that out of all the M16s used for filming of a television series that they would come up with a left handed model. So I'm thinking was the shot in the commercial some type of reversed camera shot where it was actually a normal right side ejection M16 pointing to the right, but the camera shot made it look like it was pointed to the left.

Nah, we had this discussion a while back. General consensus was that it was a mirror image.

While the image is reversed, there is one maker of a 100% port side AR upper and it's not DPMS. Go to Arfcom to find it.

I can tell you from experience that there are no left handed weaopns in the us. army. it just wouldn't be practical for the army to buy a left handed model. I know stag arms makes the left handed model! The army's doctrine is that there are more right handed shooters than left and they figure hey if your not then they will have to adapt. But i have fired an m-16, m-4a1 and many varients left handed and never had a problem!

You can identify a true lefty stag upper because the dust cover on the ejection port opens upward instead of down like a standard AR. Plus all of the lower controls are standard.

Now c'mon they had like 6 or 7 guys. And it only took them 15 minutes and an F-16 strike to take out 5 BGs......but then again....I've never been in combat, so I will leave it at that risking the title "armchair commando"
