M11

Finally got to see/shoot the SWD M11 I was thinking of buying. It had a CAR 15 style collapsible stock fitted, with a firing pin that protruded through the rear of the gun so that it used the AR recoil buffer. Rate of fire was about 600 rpm, very controllable. Can't decide if I want one that is so heavily modified. Opinions?

Thx,

Pete

Pete,

The conversion that has been done is called the SlowFire conversion. This is a very popular modification.

Check out www.flash.net/~gavin1 for more info.

If the price is OK this is not a bad way to go. I have thought about going this route.

Thanks for the reply.

The guy wants $850 for it. How does that sound? (I'm still pretty ignorant about these things.)

Keep in mind if it's on a form 4, it will cost you an extra $200 in transfer taxes. That is unless you live in the same state, then you can from 4 to form 4 for 1 $200 tax.

Thanks for all the replies. It's nice to have a place like this and knowledgeable folks like you all as a resource.

It will be a local (in state) transfer on form 4, so an extra $200; sounds like a deal!
:)
