Whats a good price for a very good condition springfield m1 garand? was looking at one today ,1945 ,like new , re-conditioned for 849.00,
and an other,1952, worn looking one for 600 smackers.The m1 is new to me,I read about them ,but never shot one, What should i look for when i go to buy one?
I am a presently an AR nut but i am looking to expand my colection with a m1.

The price is a little steep. I would encourage you to participate in a CMP match, and become eligible to purchase one through them. The current prices through the CMP are around $415.00, I got mine when they were offered at $300.00 a few years ago. For an in depth site on the M1, and the CMP program...
