M&P Shield guide rod

I have been told that installing a stainless steel guide rod will make racking the 9mm M&P Shield somewhat easier. It is a one piece drop in unit as opposed to the factory two piece. It says it will not flex or bend like the factory two piece. Has anyone had experience with this? You can find these by simply typing stainless steel guide rods in your browser.

The guide rod makes no difference. It has no energy stored in it. When you 'rack' the slide, you're applying pressure against the return spring.
