M&P rear sight set screw stripped, what should I do?

Hello all,

Recently purchased a S&W M&P 2.0 compact. One of the first things I had done was to have a gunsmith swap out the factory sights for some Ameriglo Hacks. When he put the rear sight on he didn't use any kind of thread locker on the set screw, he just cranked it down hard, till the screw clicked about three times. I didn't think much of it but after a few weeks I decided it would probably be best to back the screw out and add some threat locker just to be safe. I used the appropriate sized allen wrench and after about one or two attempts ( the screw is in very tight) the wrench stopped grasping the groves and now just spins in the top of the screw. I tried the rubber band trick, but no luck. So right now I'm not sure what to do and was hoping for some direction.

option 1. Leave it the way it is, considering the screw is in so tight.

Option 2. Take it to a gunsmith and have them fix it.

Option 3. Fix it myself ( but I have no clue what I should do).

All suggestions are welcome, and thank you in advance.

If you were going to put threadlocker on it to keep it from coming out, why are you worried that it won't come out so you can put threadlocker on it to keep it from coming out?

I love stories about my competition :p.

A few options:
* Talk to the gunsmith who installed the sight. Tell him the lock screw is stripped and ask him to fix it. Since the screw was just fine until you worked on it, expect him to charge you.
* Use the gun the way it is. Obviously, the sight does not want to come loose, and there is nothing magical about LocTite.
* Yes, you could fix it yourself. But since you don't know how, do you think that is a wise decision?
