M&P 9C vs. Sig P320 Subcompact

I've decided I want to get a double stack 9mm for carry and I can't decide between the two.

Any one have any experience with the two? Any negatives or positives in regards to carrying one or the other? Does one shoot easier or softer than the other?

I have both the full size M&P and the compact size Sig, love both of them.

Just looking for any influential information on the two.

Thanks!

I have no experience with the Sig but the 9c that I bought my fiancé is about as good of an all around handgun that I have had experience with.
For a double stack it carries as well as can be excpected, I actually enjoy it at the range more than my full size M&P and would go as far to say that if I am not as accurate with it as I am the full size I am certainly close to it. As for the trigger? Must be good enough because it has never been noticeable to me as a negative of any kind when firing it.

I have no experience with the SIG P320 Subcompact but my wife's M&P9c has always worked flawlessly.

That said...

The new M2.0 version of the M&P is getting very positive reviews and I expect M2.0 Compacts to be rolled out any second now. This can be seen either as an opportunity to pick up the upgraded model, OR an opportunity to pick up the old model at fire-sale prices once the M2.0 appears. :D

I used to have a 320 full size and just traded off a m&p compact the other day. Both great.

320 is very modular since the frame, slide, and barrel aren't serialized or considered the actual firearm. This also means a replacement frame down the road is inexpensive and likely quite available if you ever needed one.

Trigger is great, accuracy is great.

M&P is good as well. Sized between the glock 26 and 19 it offers a full purchase with the larger mag and does this while offering an accessory rail. Triggers vary from range day horror to sufficient for minute of bad guy. The trigger itself is also articulated. Most of this can be addressed without much expense or time if desired.

The 2.0 has a couple of benefits, most notably (to me) is the extra aluminum used in the skeleton of the frame. I think long term this will pay dividends to the serviceable life of the frame.

Both are great and I don't think you can go wrong. I am patiently waiting for the 2.0 compact to be released, myself. I don't think there is one real large advantage to either platform for most people but the aluminum skeleton frame in the mp and the way it fits my hand just edges out the sig for me.

When is the M&P compact 2.0 going to be released?
There has been no official announcement.

IOW, probably about 2 weeks after you decide you don't want to wait on it, and you buy a current model instead. ;)
