M-44 scout rifle

I've been thinking a lot lately about converting my Mosin Nagant Carbine to a Scout rifle configuration. Does anybody know where I could get a scope mount that will replace the original rear sight with minimum alteration to the rifle and preferably the ability to return to original condition if I chose to do so? I know it's silly to worry about originality on a $65.00 rifle but I do like the original configuration and can't currently buy another rifle and do the conversion also. Also any scope reccomendations would be appreciated. I've always been a iron sights guy but I'm interested in the virtues of a scoped rifle for hunting and other long distance shooting.

I gave it a looksee. they seem to carry a lot of stuff but nothing for the Mosin Nagant. I searched around and so far the best thing I've found is on the Century Arms websight. They have a mount that replaces the rear sight for $39.99. I may order one if I don't find something better in the next couple of days. I'll also have to figure out which scope would be best for my application.
