M-36 comes home

Today I finally got to pick up my "new" M36-7.

The gun was first bought in January 1997 and appears to be unfired. It came with the box, instructions, S&W registration card, and some info about the custom shop. I know the $369 I paid is high by most of the prices I have seen on line, but for an "as new" gun here in the PRK, I think I did OK.

Tomorrow I get to shoot her.

I love the feel of the Spegels.

thanks

Thanks. The grips really do set things right.

On a side note, per the instruction manual I got with the gun, it is NOT rated for +P ammo but the M-60's are. The manual had a chart showing all the S&W revolvers and the ammo approved for them.

Were later M-36's rated by S&W for +P or was this reserved for their stainless J-frames?

Nice weapon, and beautiful pic. I would like to have
a set of those grips on my 79-80 vintage S&W model
60! :D :)

I keep my 36 loaded with +p's and occasionaly practice with a box, but most practice is standard pressure loads. I have no doubts that a solid 36 can take a modest amount of +p shooting. If I run across a box of Federal Nyclads tho................................

Nice gun. Mine looks identical, but my boot grips are rubber:(
I think now I may need to go for the wood!

Nyclad

A few weeks back, I got 5 boxes of 125gr HP Nyclad from Ammoman for $95 with shipping. Now it's $119...

I'm sorry to see the ammo going away. I also use it in my 9mm Hi-Power.
