At least one smith is telling me, that the M-16 extractor is a better conversion for the Rem. 600 bolt than using the Sako. I'm converting a .308 face to a magnum configuration. All the smiths I've talked to, tell me they don't have the tools to cut the eliptical extractor recess in the bolt face to use the Remington magnum extractor, and have to go the Sako route. Are there any opinions out there about the differences between the Sako and M-16 extractors?
