M-14 Trigger Group

I'm wanting to change out the trigger group on a Chinese M-14S and am looking at different offerings. I want the better quality of the US parts. I was wondering if the military M-14 trigger groups such as those sold by the CMP are the same as the semi auto trigger groups like the Chinese and MIA. More specifically, they don't have any full auto parts in them do they? I must admit I don't know where the military parts are in the military select fire M-14's so don't laugh to hard! I don't want to get any select fire parts!!!! My teachers always said the only stupid question was the one you didn't ask , so there you go! Appreciate the info, gentleman.

There are no FA parts in the trigger group. If you can get a CMP, you are guaranteed all genuine GI parts.

The Chinese may have suspect hardness, the M1-A will have some "replica" parts.

The only "FA" part in the M14 trigger group is the secondary sear, which has a lug on the right side that is tripped by the sear release. On most M1A rifles that used GI parts, that lug has been ground off, but some still have it. That lug alone will not make an M1A a machinegun. It does sometimes interfere with a tight stock, though.
