low friction paint for magazine refurbishing?

I want to refurbish some of my older surplus pistol mags: Get the light surface rust off, smooth out a few scratches, and paint them.

I've heard there is such a thing as molybdenum disulphide impregnated paint that provides some lubrication as well as corrosion resistance. This sounds like something that might work very well in magazines. I really like the anti-friction coating in my newer Mec-Gar mags not that I (realistically) expect to duplicate that...

I thought I saw something like this by the Gun-Kote folks a while back, but can't seem to find it any more.

Anybody know where I could find such a paint?

Thanks. I guess I was right about seeing it at Brownell's, just wrong about the Gun-Kote part.

Now... how do I spray it into the INSIDE of the mag tubes?

My experience with moly paint in farming applications is that the coating is much too soft to be of value for your purpose.

Use either Gun Kote or Norrells Moly Resin. Follow the directions and abrasive blast the exterior then soak in some Phosphate prep solution which applies a zinc phosphate. Shoot the insides with your air brush first then do the exterior.

If they are aluminum AR mags I would get the solid film lubricant from Neely industries Perma-Slik HERE and use that.
