loving my gunbelt

So I've had my ccl for about 6 months now but I've just recently used a proper gunbelt. There is no comparison to the plain leather belt I wore before. I'm no longer having to adjust my pants all the time and my back isn't sore in the evening.
If anyone hasn't tried a real gunbelt yet I highly recommend it!

The most important part of any carry rig is your gun belt. While they aren't cheap, they are invaluable and a well made belt will out last several cheap ones.

If you carry a gun you should have a gun belt but I am the only one I know who carries a gun here, that uses a gun belt. I prefer the instructor nylon types as I can get them in various thicknesses and they can be adjusted just right since there are not holes involved that force you into a set position. Take a look at the Wilderness Tactical line of instructor belts. I do not like the original instructor belt as I do not need a heavy metal buckle to attach a safety cord to. I get the frequent flyer belt with the polymer loops. Very lightweight and comfortable. I have three of them in different stiffness depending on which gun I am carrying. So nice that my non gun owning friends all ordered them for every day wear. I used to wear them before I started carrying too. They are just so easy to adjust moving from a sitting to standing position and you can get them just right.

Old_Dog, I looked at the rigger type belts, none of them seem as stiff as the leather belts, even the nylon belts w the inserts. But I do agree that the near infinite adjust-ability is nice.

I just got a 5.11 tactical leather belt with a stiffener inside. I like it a lot, very stiff, half the price of the beltman belts which I've been looking at. However, I don't expect it to last for more than a few years whereas the beltman ones seem to go for 5 or more years and are thicker too.
