Lost my front night sight......

Well..... I was somewhat bored this afternoon, so I grabbed my one Glock 19's and figured I play a little. Was mostly doing some point shooting, and moving around a bit while I was shooting, when I happen to notice theres nothing out there on top of the slide. WTFover!

Well, I figure oh well, I wasnt using it anyway, so I finish up. Afterwards, while scrounging my brass, Im keeping an eye out for the front sight too, hoping I might get lucky. Nope! So I go home and take the new front night sight off one of my 42's, since they only have the front sight anyway, and put it on the 19. Figured Ill just get another for the 42 when I get around to it, and that way the 19 is whole again.

So.... (what? you think this is over? :D) Im sitting there eating dinner, when I get to thinking, and had an epiphany, hey, its a night sight! Ill bet if I go back over to the range, I might just get lucky. So I grab the old, el cheapo Walmart NV monocular thing I got, and head over to the range. Three minutes after getting out of the car, and a quick scan of the ground, there it is, glowing like a beacon!
:D  :D

It wanst anywhere near where I was looking in the daylight either. :)

I did. Won $2 on the Cash 5 yesterday. We'll see if it carried over into todays tickets (bought yesterday).

Finding that front sight was a much better value than my lottery winnings for the past year.

I had a similar experience in October , I went shooting at my favorite spot,
after driving all the way up there , I found about 3" of snow on the ground.
I decided to stay and shoot for a short while anyway. When I had finished
the second mag in my Walther P-1 I noticed the front sight was gone, bummer!
After about 10 minuets of searching I spotted a sight shaped hole in the snow,
sure enough about 2" down was my missing sight. I reinstalled it with a little
locktite after I got home and it hasn't moved since. Lucky day.
