Lost my BPS plug

Anyone know where I can get a mag tube plug for a Browning BPS 12 ga. 3"? I turned my house upside down and can't find it. I also checked Browning's webside and Brownell's Any help would be great.

The quickest way to get a plug in the gun is to cut a pencil to the right length and insert it into the spring. A somewhat classier repair is to use a wood dowell for the purpose. Cut the thing at a length that will prevent more than two shells from being loaded into the mag. You don't need a factory magazine plug.

Every Winchester Model 12 ever made, all the Ithaca Model 37's before 1980, and every Remington 870 up til around 1970 had wood plugs. Most still do. If the wood plug in the magazine causes trouble, think what the wood stock must be doing to the gun.

Just cut a piece of dowel of appropriate length. Make sure to bevel the ends of the dowel so that it doesn't snag the spring as the spring compresses!
