Cool test. I wonder how much of the decision to adopt the .455 round came from experiences the British had with Colt cap and ball revolvers in the 19th century.
 
I’ve got Colt NS in 455 Eley and I modified a Lyman 322gr Gould Express HP mold to pour bullets. I was shooting for 265gr, ended up at 272gr which is close enough. Running about 600fps with Unique. Sized .457”
