Loose grip screws

The grip screws on my baby eagle 9mm keep backing out. I need to tighten them back in after every shooting session. Sooner or later these screws will jump from gun and get themselves lost if I don't do something. Does anyone have an idea how I can keep them in place without using a permanant adhesive? Its not that I'm planning to replace the grips but I would like to keep my options open. Thanks for your help.

There are basically two ways to lock the screws in place.

Mechanically - by deforming the threads to create friction, or adding a lock washer to create friction. Both ways suck for gripscrews.

The other option is chemically locking. There are many different grades of chemical locks, why would you only consider the permanent ones?

Something like Purple Loctite, used on fine instrument adjustment screws to hold them in place but still allow adjustment with a small screwdriver, is your friend:

If you have a hydraulic repair business visit them and bring a screw with you. they should have O-rings small enough to fit the screw. I've done this with 2 1911's that the screw constantly loosen during shooting. The O-rings solved the problem

I use clear finger nail polish on the threads of small screws that aren't stressed. $1 for a life time supply and works great.
