loose front site on Romanian .22

the screw-in front site on my Romanian .22 is so loose that I slowly lose my point of aim over several shots.
Anybody know what to do? I'm thinking about putting some teflon tape on it to tighten it up but wondered what other folks were doing.
 
For about $25 you could put a Tasco Pronghorn scope (or equiv) on it. Selfish interest here. I'm dying to see what they shoot like with a scope. I've only used mine with iron, but it shoots so well like that that I'm sure it'll do better with glass.
 
MS-I've got some loctite green around the house. stop by and I'll see if I can find it. The stuff needs to be applied in an anaeoribic spot. I guess the screw threads ought to be ok.
