Loose front sight

Good morning folks. I posted this in another forum and wanted to get some more opinions about a loose front sight. After running 400 total rounds through my new Milspec (100 today) I noticed that the front sight is loose and wobbles a bit. Not much, so I am thinking about leaving it for a while anyway. Any ideas? Does anyone know a reputable smith in the Durham, NC area? I really hate to send it all the way to the factory for this... Thanks a bunch. -Coop
 
You don't mention whether your sight is staked or dovetailed into the slide. If it is staked, there is a good chance that it will continue to loosen, eventually fly off and be lost. Less chance if it is dovetailed, but either way, get it fixed. Can you take it to the shop where you bought it?

Coop...you say Milspec...as in Springfield Armory Milspec? If so, this is a problem that they've been seeing a lot...you have a lifetime warrantee for a reason.
