Looks like Taurus has shelved (permanently?) its Triad revolver

Pizza Hut

Boycott Pizza Hut? I am confident that driver can get another low paying minimum wage job with no problem. And look at it this way, Pizza Hut did him a favor. Maybe he will think about going to school and getting some kind of training so he can get a real job. If he is that handy with a firearm he should be in some other line of work anyway like police work or security.

Was there a reason given. Lack of sales??? Perhaps some sort of malfunctioning problem. I seen a lot of great idea in guns, fade away because they did not catch on, they were ahead of the times, or that they were too hard to produce to keep the price reasonable.

Lack of sales? I never saw one, doubt they got any on the market.

Nobody else has been able to sell enough multi-caliber or smallbore moonclip auto caliber guns to keep them on the market, I guess Taurus just got smart. Or found some fault in the system and decided it wasn't worth fixing for a small market niche.

Perfectly normal for Taurus. They often announce models and even have working prototypes at SHOT show. The models never make it to the market. It is a routine event.

This sounds like the Medusa Revolver. It was made, IIRC, in Britain. Same sort of switch calibers.

I think that the Triad was going to be too expensive to compete.. There are also accuracy problems with the varying diameters. 9mm and .30 Super use a .355" bullet, while the .38/.357 use a .357 diameter bullet. To get everything to work would have required a number of innovations. Would YOU buy a $700 Taurus revolver that shoots these calibers? Heck, would you buy a $1200 Colt or S&W that did the same thing?

The Medusa was from Texas and not the UK. It was taken over by a custom six gun shop, whose name I forgot but one of those who advertise in the gun rags.

Lately they can't even get a revolver that shoots one cartridge to work right. What makes you think they could do so with one that could use multiple cartridges?
