Looks like CZ...

...is adding some higher end priced shotguns to their offerings, some in excess of $2000, according to their website. Does anyone know anything about these guns? Also, does anyone have any experience with their .28 ga SxS?

I know they're still being made in Turkey. In general, I think its fair to say they are making some serviceable guns / but I don't have any idea how they are going to stand up after 50,000 shells ...or more.

A lot of competition shooters put 25,000 + shells thru their guns every year and I'd be surprised if they would stand up to that level of usage. But if you're only shooting 8 or 10 boxes a month / 3,000 shells a year - my hunch is the gun may hold up reasonably well for 10 years or so.

I do see a few of their SXS's in 20 and 28ga around the club - and guys seem to like them. They're relatively inexpensive / and although I find them pretty light and way too short for me personally - guys seem to think they're ok. I do hear some comments about firing pin issues on the CZ's still once in a while / and I don't know if you can get parts for them easily or not.

Besides firing pin issues Big Jim mentioned, the other ones I have been hearing from folks at my club has to do with barrel regulation - or more specifically, LACK of it. That can be an issue with most SxS, however it is more prevalent in the lower end lines as it is expensive and time consuming to do and do properly. Check them out for that, and if they are OK, I agree with Jim, for an upland gun that isn't going to see heavy target use, they'll probably do just fine
