Hi, I live in Mn, and am currently going to school. When I get out, and get some money, I want to purchace a MK46-MOD 0...

Well, I first wanted to find out how much one is, so I contacted FN, VIA e-mail, but not no responce...

Ive done a google search for sales but cant find anything... I know its gotta be pretty expensive, but I just would like to know where I can buy one, and how much so I can plan ahead.

1- TRANSFERABLE DOMESTIC full-auto weapons must have been registered PRIOR to 1986... TRANSFERABLE IMPORTED full-auto weapons must have been registered prior to 1968.

2- there are NO transferable M249 variants out there.

As a side note there are literally just a handfull of transferable FN-MAG's out there... the last one was for sale for 175K.

    This I didnt know... You have got to be kidding me.:barf: All my hopes and dreames of owning a MK46, shattered :( Now what... These gun laws need to be changed PRONTO!!!

1986??? Who wants some busted ass old FA lower with 100,000 rounds over it... Serously, Im so dissapointed. I had no idea the FA gun laws were so strict.

go to gunbroker.com, they have a class III section with full auto, suppressors, and short barreled rifles...the prices on tranferable full autos will shock you socks off...NON Colt M16's are routinely in the order of 11,000 dollars with Colt guns and desireable variants running 20,000+ the bottom of the class III world are like M2 carbines, STEN's, and M11/9's and you are still looking at 4-7,000 for one of those. suppressors on the other hand are reasonable and within reach if your state allows them you can get into a NIB suppressed Ruger 10/22 that is loads of fun to own and shoot for 895.00 +200.00 one time uncle sam tax.

Yeah its pretty wild. Father-in-law's friend was asking my advice on a Thompson. Said he always wanted to get one. He further clarified that he would like to get one of the 'classic' ones - the old 1921 or 1928 models.

When I told him he would be looking at least $30k - IF he could find one - he about fell off his chair. Crazy how much prices have jumped - but thats what happens with a finite supply.

yeah we thought they were high before 1986 when they put a cap on the number of registered full autos availible to the public...a PAWS registered M16
lower receiver cost me 475.00 in 1984,a STEN 375.00, a SWD M11/9 450.00 and if you wanted the factory Sionic suppressor that was another 175.00(+200.00 tax of course) I bought a real issue M2 carbine for 700.00 lol...how I wish those days were back somehow(or would have known years before the 1986 laws were comming) I would have gotten bank loans for toys to aquire. Except for SBR's/AOW's/ suppressors I just cant afford what a STEN costs these days....oh I could save my pennies and get one, but 4000.00 for a 20.00 dollar gun I just cant bring myself to do.
