Looking for some nice wood grips for a SW617

They're spendy, but worth it. Custom made to your hand. The pair I have I got used, but they fit me great.

Look on gunbroker and ebay for square butt K-frame revolver grips.

Smith & Wesson sells some pretty nice Rosewood square butt combat grips for k-frames. Pictures are available on their website. I bought a pair for my 617 no-dash that are quite pretty and fit my hand well, too. Price is about $75.

I have bought 2 sets of grips from gungripsupply and I have been pleased with both. There are very few times in life when something will exceed your expectation. The Grips that gungripsupply sent me did just that. Both sets were for a K-frame Smith & Wesson.

Check out Altamont, as well as Ahrends. Both make excellent grips for S&W revolvers.

If you have money to burn an want to absolute best, Keith Brown

Keith Brown, Herretts and/or Nill-Griffe is the way to go for custom grips. For a bit more than the mass produced Houge or Altamont wood, you can have a set from Herrett to fit you hand in a combat or target application with some outstanding wood grain. Keith Brown is an artist in wood of the highest degree, and is well worth the price. As for Nill Griffe, their grips are the most expensive and contoured grips money can by off the shelf...from Germany, but their quality is the best for a production grip, with most now going for $100-$250 range.
