looking for parts on a stevens browning 620 pump shot gun 12 ga.

I have a old 620 pump in my store in need of a slide block. Itis the part that the pump handle hooks into and the bolt rides on. Right now i have looked at the usual place numerich and other locations on the web. I dont have a jack first parts catolog soi havent tried there yet. If anyone has one id really like to purchase it.Jeff

I think you're looking for the wrong part name. No 'slide block' on the exploded drawing. There is a 'slide lock'. $12.10 at Gunparts. Listed under Savage/Stevens/Springfield/Fox.

There seens to be some confusion on part names, but the names and part numbers I cite are per the following diagram from Savage and Gun Parts Corp.

I think the part needed may No. 5, the Slide. This is the part that is moved forward by the operating handle bar (No. 53) to move the breech block (No. 10) forward and move the locking bolt (No. 4) upward into the receiver and lock the breech block (No. 10).

For some reason, manufacturers have decided to call gun parts by a variety of names.
Maybe it's because of all the different designs in the gun industry.
And it gets confusing.
One way to identify the exact part in question is:
Find an exploded parts view of the gun on the web and link it.
Then identify the part with the exact name used in that parts view.
Just a thought.
