Looking for new/used Leupold 6.5 x 20 x 50mm scope

I am interested in buying a new or used 6.5 x 20 x 50mm Leupold tactical scope. Where can I find the best prices for this scope? Where can I find it used on the net (besides the firing line, bowers, sturmgewehr, AR15.com, & gunsamerica.com)?

Also, I am buying it for my Armalite 24" AR10T. Would this scope be the ideal scope for the gun? Is there a better choice out there at a comparable price?

Rich, I buy most of my scopes from Indy Optics. They have proven to be very reliable and honest. All the stuff they list is in stock and ready to ship. Not the cheapest, but very good outfit if you do not want to get the run-around.

I have one of these scopes on my AR15 flattop. You will definitely need an extended base due to the eye relief. It is a great scope and I recommend it highly. I bought mine from Lock, Stock, and Barrel at http://www.lockstock.com
They have some of the best prices on Leupold and have been in business many years. I have bought a lot of stuff from them. I think I paid around $620 for it a few months back. This is the version with side focus.

You have a variety of reticles available in this scope. I bought the standard duplex and it is ok. If I were to do it over again I would look at the target dot version - a little more expensive. I have been thinking about shipping it back to Leupold to get an alternative reticle installed.
 
Leupold 3.5x10 mil dot and 30mm tube or Leupold Mark IV M1 (with 1/4" click adjustment for both windage and elevation). I prefer the latter over the Mark IV M3 which has the bullet drop compensator (BDC). The BDC works for 168 grains, but what if you handload and your trajectory is different? Granted the M1 is slower, but it is more precise and with a precision rifle, shot placement takes precedent over speed.
