Looking for info re: HK4

I'm looking for info re: HK4. I just picked one up. It came w/ original box, a 380 barrel & 2 mags and a 22lr barrel and one mag.
For me, it's rare to see HK's other than the USPs (esp in CA) and this one seemed like one to buy, even as a fondle piece :rolleyes:
 
Thanks, knowing the history helps some. What I'm looking for now, is an owner's manual...or at least info on how to field strip, clean and to do conversions...
 
I was fortunate enough to bring back two complete 4 (.22/25/32/380) caliber HK4 sets with me when I lived in Germany. If you can't get anything from HK I would be happy to assist. Take down is easy if you just want to clean it. Changing over to the .22LR kit has some specifics. E-mail me at wegner@theriver.com if you need more detailed help.
 
About half a year ago I surfed on the net for info of Hk4 (mine is also 380), used the Google search, and there was a site which printed the actual Hk4 manual page by page. Sorry that I didn't write down the address, I think I typed in "Hk mod 4" and got the list of related sites. But the manual is kind of simple, except the part of changing barrels.
