Looking for info, 1990's Mauser 96S

Bring up Mausers site. They can get you info on it. Yes, they still make new rifles! They are making 2 models at this time. The 98 and the M03. They are a bit expensive, but essentially they are custom rifles. Considering that fact, their price is reasonable.
 
Straight-pull, rotary bolt head locking into a steel barrel extension. Basically, uses similar design features to the AR design, developed about the same time period as the Blaser design. Neat rifles, kind of strange looking with the bolt handle positioning, but typically very accurate. A good rifle. They typically sell for $650-$900, so the "buy it now" price is pretty optimistic.

I wouldn't give anything for the scope.
