Looking for ideas for a submachine gun

I love the looks of the TEC-9/AP-9, Dont like the idea of it being a throw-away gun, (I heard that the firing pins break after 5000 rounds.) I dont like the sights on MAC-11 types. So with that being said, what else do I have to choose from. I heard good about specter and calico. Is there anything else out there?

The Calico Light Weapon Systems (LWS) circa 1990 is not available for Civilian sales.

Versions of the SITES "Spectre" M4 sub-machinegun specifically made for the civilian market have been around since the middle 1980s and up to the late 1990s, their production suffering a major backlash when the US Assault Weapons Ban prohibited the import and sale of them on the American market. In any event the GCA of 1968 bans the sale of full auto weapons manufactured after that date to civilians.

Prices on full auto weapons are "sky high" with the lowest prices generally being asked for those weapons in the MAC, (Military Armament Corp.) line.

First off do you understand that in Illinois unless you are issued a weapon by a Police dept. or are a Law Enf. NFA firearms dealer/manufacturer you can not as an individual buy any NFA item?

The MACs are fine once you put a Lage upper on them.

The other guns you speak of are LE only so you need to do more research on the process.

I think you are confused about the term "submachine gun." The Tec/AP guns are semiautomatic pistols. If the firing pin breaks, you could simply replace it.

I hae not been happy with the condition descriptions of some of the things I bought from classic arms. I would avoid that suggestion.

And it does seem you just mean a semi-auto pistol with a large mag not in the hand grip. Basically something that looks like a SMG but not really NFA.
