Looking for hogs in Oregon

No places to hunt them here fortunately, you'll have to go to Californa (northern/Central coast). I read of one killed in the Rogue valley i the late 90's but who know if it was just one escapee. I've read you can get permit for Camp Roberts military base near San louis obispo, it's probably your best shot at finding them on public land.

Or possibly Black Butte lake area in Tehama county, but it's a long way to travel for may be's.

I was curious and dug this up with a google search.

Theres a guy by Twin Falls Idaho that has Russian boars. We went over there a few years ago and had a ball.

I think the place is "Shoshone European wild boar hunt". Something like that. If your interested and cant find it, let me know and I'll get you the info.

There are feral hogs in oregon, most are protected on large ranches in north central oregon and the malhure basin near burns. Then there are hogs on the water sheds in south west oregon. Extermination is the goal, so if you happen to see hogs keep shooting until they are all dead or your guns are empty. Just think of them as wharf rats spreading the plague of habitat destruction

If you dig around on the ODFW website you can find info about where hogs are. Also call ODFW. They want em gone so they are willing to tell what they know (they might not know very much). I have spent a little time hunting them on public ground in North Central Oregon but have never seen one.
