Looking for grips for CZ-75 Compact....

I replied to you on the CZForum and recommended Hakan...I didnt know you wanted rubber with grooves..hmmmmm.
CZUSA has rubber, plastic and wood for the Compact...but none with grooves...Gonna be hard to find. Shoot well

Hogue makes them for the full size CZ-75B, but I don't know about the compact. Check with Hogue.

I appreciate the responses...

CZ-USA has rubber grips that are just like the plastic ones, but no finger grooves. Hogue has them for the standard size CZ's, but not for the Compact. I can't help, but believe that somewhere out there in Cyberspace, there is an unknown source, waiting to be discovered, who has rubber, finger-grooved, CZ-75 Compact grips.

WHERE ARE YOU???!!!

I really don't think so.

Maybe Hakan can cook you up something special.

Here`s a thought. Get the CZ rubber grips for the compact and use them with a seperate finger grooved rubber frontstrap like the one Pearce sells for 1911s. It slips under the grips to retain it and the CZ`s grip frame isn`t much thicker if any than a 1911 so you may have to trim it a bit but it should work. Marcus

Marcus nailed it...also maybe a good tip. On the 1911 3 piece rubber grips you have 2 screws per side and they run down the center line of the grip length. This would even out the force of the screws retention and hold the whole thing in place. Now the problem, on the compact the screw is in the lower back portion of the grip and is only one per side ...no retention like the 1911.

The answer.....Get the grips from czusa and the grip center that fits the length of the compact from pierce.....cut them so they are fitted and have some overlap for gluing.....find an industrial adhesives store/dist....they will have adhesives for bonding rubber to rubber ....and this stuff works!!!!!!!!!!!! if you follow the directions. Bond them and poof....grips that are easy and cheap.
It sounds like a headache...but really should be very simple to do.

Shoot well

Hmmmmm....

Soundin' better and better. I might even try to use the Hogue HandAll for the finger groove piece and bond it to the CZ rubber grips. I've also got a set of the standard CZ-75 Hogue finger groove grips. I've looked at cutting them down to fit, but it appeared that there were enough differences between the two sized handles that they wouldn't work. I think I'll look again.

Keep those cards and letters coming, folks. I'm still open for ideas. :D

Thanks to all of you who've shared your ideas. ;)
