Have found in the metro detroit area boxes of 40 S+W ranging from 10 to 15 dollars/50rd box for CCI Blazer FMJ. Is that typical or can I find a better deal somewhere possibly bulk mail or internet or at gun shows?? I tried looking at several sites on the net and the prices were not better even when buying 500 to 1000 rounds. Any help would be appreciated.

mept,
Fourseasons sells a case of CCI Blazer 165 or 180 gr for $179 plus $17 for shipping. I found, however, that Tri-state Shooting Supplies (www.tsssinc.com) has 180 gr CCI Blazer for $150 a case plus shipping and 165 gr for $165 plus shipping (the shipping price with my purchase was only $13). That's the best price I could find anywhere on the web. What's also convenient with TSSS is that you don't have to send them any affidavits -- Indiana state laws don't require that.

mept - Check the ammo prices at the next gun show at the Gibralter Trade Center in Mt. Clemens. Last summer I bopught Blazer .40 s&w 165 gr FMJ for $8.50/box of 50 but I haven't been there since they recently reopened after the Wayne County "lawsuit" ( aka extortion attempt).

Right now, ammoman.com is offering the following .40 S&W loads (INCLUDING SHIPPING):

> Fiocchi 170 grain FMJ, 500 rounds @ $99 and 1000 rounds @ $179

> Federal 155 grain FMJ, 500 rounds @ $99 and 1000 rounds @ $189

> Speer 180 grain gold dot hollow point, 500 rounds @ $199 and 1000 round @ $375
