Looking For Full Moon Clips

I'm looking for some more clips. I've been to the Dillon (blued) and Wilson (blued and nickel) websites but I seem to remember someone in the Shotgun News selling some made from stainless steel. Does anyone have any experience with stainless? Are they worth the extra price? And is the reloading tool that Dillon sells a better mousetrap?

I'm not sure if they offer stainless but here's a pretty good source: www.moonclips.com/

I have owned RCBS Single stage tools, plus the Dillon Square Deal B and XL650 progressives and, without reservation, can say they are the best reloading tools in thier price class, on the market.

I have and love the tool Dillon sells. It is a must-have if you load full moons, and quite frankly it is so slick that I stopped messing with the 1/3 and 1/2 moons altogether. As for stainless moon clips, I never tried any but have heard that they may be a little too rigid ... those things have to be a little "springy" to facilitate the loading /unloading of shells and still retain a tight grip on the cartridge. Also, I have never had any problem with rusting on my blued ones, so I don't quite see the point of the extra expense of stainless.

I've got both stainless and blued full moon clips.

I pefer the blued. The stainless are too stiff. Makes them hard to load and unload.

Dillon has great prices on both types.

Joe
